The acquittal and subsequent expunction changed the course of the family law case and gave my client his life, career, and children back.
  • Not Guilty DWI
A young man was referred to me by a local law enforcement officer. My client had left a party, late at night, after playing several rounds of beer pong. He was allegedly stopped for speeding, driving recklessly and running a red light. Police discovered two beer cans by the tire of the car as they walked up to the vehicle. The Officer conducted a body search, also known as "Terry" frisk, before any investigation ever took place. The police officer testified that my client failed the field sobriety tests. After a scathing cross-examination, the jury agreed my client did not receive a fair shake and found my client NOT GUILTY.

My client was accused of being involved in a major, single-car accident. When EMS arrived, the client's leg was sticking through the floorboard of his car. He was transported to the hospital via ambulance. Blood results showed he had a BAC of 0.186, more than twice the legal limit. My client left the hospital against medical advice and a warrant was eventually issued for his arrest. After one day of trial, the State offered a special deal that would allow the case to be dismissed and expunged.

My client was allegedly involved in an accident where she drove through a yard, struck a parked car, and eventually crashed into the homeowner's tree. The client destroyed her car and narrowly missed driving into the house. My client was given field sobriety tests at the scene and then transported to the hospital to have her blood drawn. The blood results came back a 0.22 BAC, almost three times the legal limit. After one day of trial, the State DISMISSED the case and re-filed it as an obstruction of highway. My client paid a fine only.
  • Not Guilty DWI
My client left a bar and on the way home stopped at a pharmacy. While purportedly attempting to pull into a parking space, he struck an unattended, parked vehicle. Several witnesses observed the accident and testified at trial that they believed my client was intoxicated. One eye witness stated he observed him strike the parked car twice. The police officers testified that my client was so intoxicated he had to hold onto a pillar for support and had slurred unintelligible speech. On video, he performed poorly on the field sobriety tests by allegedly exhibiting all possible clues of intoxication. We brought forth testimony of my client's medical and dental history to contradict the State's assertions. After three intense days of trial, the jury sent my client back to his family NOT GUILTY.

  • Dismissed DWI
My client was stopped on a highway for allegedly speeding at 4:45 am. Once stopped, officers claimed they smelled alcohol and had my client exit his vehicle. The officers observed vomit covering his body and the cab of the truck. Officers also observed fresh damage to the front and both sides of the truck which the State alleged was caused while he was driving while intoxicated. My client admitted to consuming six to seven beers and two shots. He consented to taking the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus field sobriety test, but refused to do the nine-step walk and turn and the one-leg stand. My client was subsequently arrested and during the search of the truck, officers found an ice chest full of beer. After one day of trial, the State DISMISSED the case and re-filed it as an obstruction of highway.
